My second pick of who to watch in 2011 is Gilles Simon. Gillou spent most of 2010 struggling to overcome a knee injury. He was sidelined from the Australian Open and the clay court swing. He was able to put in a decent showing in the brief grasscourt season, getting to the Quarters at Eastbourne (l. to Llodra) and the 3rd round of Wimbledon (l. to Murray). His US hardcourt season was decent as well, most notably taking down a mono-stricken Roddick in Washington. He lost to Nadal in straights at the US Open, but he did get this flippin cute shirt for his newborn son
Simon had a pretty strong indoor hardcourt swing, including picking up the most awesome looking trophy in the ATP at Metz.
Not sure if Simon can ever break back into the top 10 again, but if he can stay healthy. there's no reason he can't be a solid top 20 or better.
Yup, Novak, you're right. He totally looks like R.Pattz...pretty...
